Front cover and Contents page

I chose to use this design as my front cover because i felt it was the best photograph and title position, i thought it will attract the reader more if the title is in a more abstract position than the normal placement (Top of page, centred). The colours i used for my text are bright which will draw the readers attention to the magazine. The main image is the head turner for this magazine as when people take a glance of an image such as this it stands out as the background is a completely opposite colour. The medium close up of the boy gives the reader a good picture of his facial expressions this then leaves them asking rhetorical questions such as why is he looking at his phone? or why is he upset?

I chose this as my contents page because i new that the younger generation would read it more. They would be attracted by it as it represents sport, news and gossip which are a few of the subjects children nowadays enjoy. Their are stories on this page about other students experiences that have been achieved by contacting the school magazine helpline, this will draw my audience in as they feel the magazine has a friendly approach and understands them, also most students need help in school enviorments. I chose to adopt the bright colours of the front page and use them on the contents as i felt if the students see both pages being bright and colourful they will automatically think the magazine is fun. The image of the boy spinning a ball on his finger represents the fun of Goff's school and creates a good impression on other children.
